After the storm

After the crazy week I had last week, this one has been a lot calmer. Jera is doing well Special thanks to everyone for all your kind thoughts.
Nothing much happening so I thought I'd post a layout I did for this month's Scrapbook Creations Colour Team.
Love the steamed look on Sienna's face. lol. Can't belive she was just 6 in this pic. I had fun playing around with her lips.
Have a great weekend.

What a week!

That wry smirk is back, he's walking and eating and playing. What is it with kids? You know they're getting better when they want to play. It's like the recovery benchmark. lol Love this boy sooo much.
Thanks so much too to all of you who asked. It was a very stressful time for his mum.

MORE NEWS:
Well I just knew that the week had more to come and it did... after two month's as Guest Designer, Pam owner of  My Creative Scrapbook http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/  kit club invited me to join the team. I am thrilled be a part of this wonderfully creative team. They are a gorgeous bunch of very talented designers. And the kits are really the best value in the business. Pam has such a talent for co-ordinating all the best and lastest products. THANKS!

My thoughts are with the people of Japan after such a devastating quake.

OMGoodness

Mostly life just rolls along. Sure some weeks are more eventful than others but then that's the way life is.
Well this week has been one of  THOSE weeks.  A week that catches you unawares and throws you the most unexpected surprises.

This boy, see his playful happy face, has had one of the toughest weeks of his young life. What seemed like just a cold at first became so much more when three days ago he was unable to walk. It's been a frightening few days. His flu turned into myalgia, inflamation of the muscles. Tonight he walked, ever so slowly, for the first time without support. My sweet, gentle, kind hearted son is recovering.
I'm waiting for the smile to return.

Tonight Brandin e-mailed me to say I might want to check out the blog http://websterspages.typepad.com/
Here I am thinking how wonderful it was to see my layout on WP FB page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Websters-Pages/77148236894 and what a thrill that was.
Well what a shock I got when I checked in. OMG Brandin and all the gang at Webster's I was so overwhelmed. Maybe it is the lack of sleep over the last few days, or the shock, or maybe it was just the warmth of Brandin's words, or all three, I burst into tears. I'm not really the sort of person who does that easily but Brandin's post just tugged my heart. She has a way of making you feel a part of her family. That's one of the things I loved about Webster's from the beginning. Beside the fact that WP product is so amazingly beautiful. I am so truly honoured. Brandin for your kindness and thoughtful words I am humbled.
Oh and I did have a laugh 'cause I had never really publically mentioned that I went for the WP DT and there it is for all the world to see.

Well for someone who doesn't write much about myself. lol You just got an earful! lol. Thanks for listening.    I can't imagine what the rest of the week is going to be like!

Guest Designer for My Creative Scrapbook

One of best things to come out of my time on the Dusty Attic DT for 2010 was meeting one of the loveliest scrappers in the business Gabi Pollacco http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/  She is the sweetest person and a wonderful scrapper. I was thrilled to invited to be Guest Designer for MCS for Feb.
Pam creates the most beautiful kits, combining all the latest product. She really does have a flair for putting them all together. Thanks Pam.

I had the LE kit- Limited Edition which was filled with goodies mostly from the fabulous Graphic 45 Springtime collection.
Here's the los and card I made.

My favourite one of my two playing around.

Such a pretty pic of Sienna in this one.

This collection makes it so easy to create lovely cards.

My gorgeous boy with a proud smile showing off his cache.

My sweet Sienna and I have always been big fairy lovers.  I wanted this one to look as though she's stepping through a portal into fairy world.

I've removed one for publication. Back soon.

Guest Designer for Webster's Pages

I had every intention of getting this blog up and running at the start of the new year. But you know how New Year's Resolutions go.... and go...

I want to step back in time a month to January so I can include this post.
I was soooo honoured to be Guest Designer for Webster's Pages. Anyone who know me knows just how much I adore this company. I wanted to create a tribute to the amazing team they had for 2010.
For anyone who hasn't seen them yet. Here's the pieces I created.
