Mixing it up!

It's the first of the month and that means it's sketch time at Once Upon a Sketch. http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/ This month there's an interesting switch up.

Over at Once Upon A...Sketch, we are nearing the end of our first year and during this time we have noticed a huge amount of support from many countries around the world and we are incredibly lucky that our challenges are supported by so many people from all different parts of the globe. One of these countries is Greece, and we have come to realise that we receive many entries from such a small country where scrapbooking is so new, so we had a think and decided to team up with another challenge blog based in Greece and run by our very own Irini Liolia called Get Creative. How exciting!! We have decided to become "sister" blogs, because let's face it...most of us scrapping are women and is there anything stronger than a sisterhood? So for this month only, the Design Team from Once Upon A..Sketch are guests over at Get Creative and taking part in their 1st and 15th of the month challenges and the Design Team from Get Creative are guests on Once Upon A..Sketch! Thus a new bond is formed between 2 challenge blogs.

Here is the sketch that the Once Upon A..Sketch Design Team had to follow. It is created by Get Creative Design Team member Elina Katechi.
Here's my take on Elina's sketch.
It's a layout with no title. Sometimes you just don't need them. I did take the key word from the challenge for the Get Creative scrappers.

So head on over to the Get Creative blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created and to find out what prizes etc are up for grabs and then visit Once Upon A...Sketch to see the February 1st challenge.
Some close ups for you.
Some chipboard from Imaginarium Designs.
Don't you just love the vibrant colour in this Manor House flower.

Here we all are up close. A rare pic with me in it.

Wishing you a wonderful day.

A Special Page

LONG overdue, but I wanted to put this up all on it's own.
This was a special page created a little while ago for the lovely Nadia.
Check it all out in her own words.samnadia.blogspot.com
When you go through tough times it's nice to have friends who care, and we all care about you so much.
Nadia took a better pic of it than I did, below.

Some details for you.
I could tell you so much about all the little hidden meanings in my page but thought I'd leave it to stand alone.

Maybe it's just that I'm feeling very homesick at the moment.
Hope you're having a great day.

A Manor House Christmas

I'm back!!!!!!! Hope you've all had a wonderful time and the new year brings all you could wish for.
First, just catching up on some old saved posts that I didn't get a chance to publish.
                                                       More to come...

If you love to craft OTP gifts for Christmas, here's some ideas that might give you a spark of creativity.
Merry Christmas.
It's so hard to get an idea of size on this one. It's about 15" x 4". I found the wooden lettering and created a little scene around it.
Added some Bo Bunny signs, some characters, Prima shapes, Christmas trees with working lights and lots of gorgeous Manor House blooms and leaves.

I just adore the large bloom.
The light is on.

Present for you.

A Christmas Ribbon Tree.
Start with a cone shape, add lots of ribbon and decorate.

Stunning flowers! What can I say! Stunning flowers!

A few trinkets hanging

A little bit of holiday magic makes fabulous table peice.

What do you do when your daughter gives you a paper mache spray painted pot painted gold?
Here's what I thought would be a good idea. She was soooo thrilled.
Thanks Manor House for coming to the rescue. lol

I just love these happy summer flowers with their nesting birds.
This picture frame is a gift for my parents. Some new pics of the kids and a group shot. All adorned with Manor House and Webster's.     Well what else can you get them?

I added some inking to the pale pink to balance the colour in Sienn's bright top.

Luscious blooms everwhere. The chippie is an old one from Dusty Attic that I gave a whitewash.

Not a fan of being in pics myself. But you can't see that much of me here. lol
It's so hard to get a good family pic. Sienna's sitting in an awkard pic and look at all those fake tatoos. I had no idea she even had them until I saw the pic.

My gorgeous girl, growing up so fast.
My beautiful boy. Such a heartbreaker with that smile.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS.
