First of the Month - OUAS

Can't believe it's the fifth month of the year already! It's time for another challenge over at Once Upon a Sketch. To celebrate Mother's Day, Nadia designed this lovely sketch and focused on the theme of Mum/Mom.
Here's the challenge.

 Theme: Mum
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Mum" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch.

Ideas for journalling: you as a mother, your role as a working/stay-at-home mum, sacrifices/benefits of being a mum, one day in your life as a mum, how your life has changed since being a mum, a tribute to your own mum, grandmother, guardian or someone you consider as close as your mum, your relationship with your mum or your daughter, one trait you have take from your mum, your desire to be a mum, your feelings on motherhood, what does it mean to be a mum?, what kind of mum do you want to be? , Mother's Day celebrations/traditions, your favourite Mother's Day gift given/receive etc..

Here's my layout, "Love Mum."
Mother's Day has such a special meaning for me. It took me many years to be a mum and I remind myself how lucky I am every day to have my two precious ones. I'm not one for being in front of the camera so I don't have many pics of us. These are ones I treasure. The three of us were just sitting chatting one afternoon in the backyard when dh came out with the camera. I really must take more.
I loved playing with all these beautiful rich colours from Pink Paislee. Added some Manor House goodness and some lovely ID chippies from our OUAS sponsor.

The cute mushrooms and bling from Flourish with a Bling.
Lovely butterflies and chipboard shape from Imaginarium Designs.

Some Manor House Creations blooms.

So blessed to have my two gorgeous kiddos. Love you so much xx
Happy Mother's Day coming up to all the mums, moms, mother-in, laws, daughters.
Thinking of my mum for this Mother's day too.

  1. absolutely stunning Jenni ... yep make sure you take lots of photos together, it is really important .... I have none of my mother and me as she hated having her pic taken and she died when I was age 10 so there is no chance now.... this is a delightful page full of magical love xoxoxo

  8. My mum was very very shy, always hiding behind someone in a photo or disappearing out of sight seconds before a photo was to be taken. Do take more photos of you together with your children, both you and they will treasure them and the pages you create for them infinitely when they are grown up! This is such a beautiful one, LOVE the colours!! Have a wonderful Mother's Day. xoxo
